Immersive Hidden London exhibition coming in 2019
Developed by expert researchers and curators, Hidden London reveals the stories about the people who built, worked and sheltered in these extraordinary places.
Opening in 2019, London Transport Museum’s major exhibition, Hidden London, will get under the skin of London’s transport system to give visitors privileged access to its inner workings and secret stories, past and present.
Hidden London tours began in 2010 when we opened Aldwych disused station to the public. We now run over 400 tours a year across six venues and plan to offer more venues in the future. The tours are extremely popular and in high demand with tickets selling out instantly in each 7,500 batch release.
Our upcoming major exhibition will allow over 400,000 visitors to the Museum to experience the thrills of Hidden London.
The exhibition will be an even more behind the scenes experience than our tours:
- visitors will see, hear, feel and smell full-size recreations of real spaces as they were, including the wartime cabinet dining room from Churchill’s secret bunker at Down Street
- we will uncover the truths behind some of London’s myths and fables
- enjoy never before seen then and now photography
We are now open for sponsorship inquiries and would be happy to arrange a complimentary tour of a disused station.
